Vibration is an inevitable phenomenon that occurs during equipment operation, and can be classified into different levels according to the severity of the vibration. Equipment vibration that does not exceed the level range is a normal phenomenon. If the equipment has already exceeded the normal vibration level, it will directly affect the stable operation of the equipment.
There are many reasons that can cause severe vibration in slurry pumps, generally including the following aspects:
(1) The impeller of the slurry pump with eccentric load has undergone dynamic balancing and alignment treatment before leaving the factory, and the quality of each part is relatively uniform. However, after long-term operation, it will produce certain wear or adhesion scars, which to some extent leads to the eccentric load of the rotating parts of the slurry pump. The eccentric load after the operation of the slurry pump causes serious unbalanced rotational force and vibration of the slurry pump.
(2) The slurry pump relies on multiple anchor bolts to connect to the foundation, and the stable state of the pump is also maintained by bolts between various components. Due to the existence of equipment vibration, the long-term operation of the slurry pump will gradually lead to the loosening of these fastening bolts, which will intensify the vibration of the slurry pump due to the loss of the restraint of the fixed bolts. At the same time, the vibration of the equipment and the further loosening of bolts and component wear will form a vicious cycle.
(3) Good lubrication of equipment with insufficient bearing lubrication or substandard lubricating oil grades can not only reduce component wear, but also absorb a large portion of vibration through the oil film formed by the lubricating oil between two components. At the same time as the slurry pump rotates at high speed, the lubricating oil will form a sufficient oil film between the rolling elements of the bearing, reducing the vibration value. If the lubrication of the slurry pump is insufficient or the lubricating oil grade is not up to standard, the viscosity is insufficient, and it is difficult to form an effective lubricating oil film between the bearings, or the lubricating oil film ruptures prematurely, it will cause severe vibration of the slurry pump and serious wear of the bearings.
